Overview

LogicMonitor is a cloud-hosted monitoring platform. Collectors that you install on your own Linux or Windows servers poll devices without agents and send the data to LogicMonitor’s cloud, where it is correlated with server, cloud, container, and application data. Its AI features (branded Edwin AI) focus on alert correlation and noise reduction.

Noteworthy features

  • Auto-discovery: finds devices and resources across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Hybrid coverage: network devices, servers, storage, AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes in one console.
  • Alert tuning: escalation chains, dynamic thresholds, and integrations with incident management tools.
  • Forecasting and reporting: trend analysis for capacity planning.
  • Configuration monitoring: tracks config changes on supported network devices.

Pricing

LogicMonitor publishes list prices. In September 2025 it moved to three packages billed per “hybrid unit”: Essentials from $16, Advanced from $27, and Signature from $53 per unit per month. Signature includes Edwin AI Event Intelligence; Edwin AI agents and automation cost extra. One hybrid unit equals one on-premises device, one cloud IaaS resource, seven cloud PaaS resources, five wireless access points, or 100 GB of OpenTelemetry metrics. A 15-day trial is available on any plan.

Pros

  • Scales without you managing monitoring servers or databases
  • One platform and one billing unit for network, server, and cloud monitoring
  • Clean, well-designed dashboards and visualizations
  • Published list prices, which used to be rare at this level

Cons

  • Among the most expensive options in our ranking, especially for small networks
  • Cloud-hosted platform: monitoring data leaves your network, which some regulated environments will not allow
  • Device coverage depends on available monitoring modules, so confirm support for your hardware during the trial

User interface

Bottom line

For organizations with a large hybrid footprint and a preference for cloud-hosted tools, LogicMonitor is the most complete option. The published pricing makes it easier to model, but do the math on your hybrid unit count before the trial ends.
